MIGHTY CODERs – Coders Quest

Blackwell PTSA is excited to bring Mighty Coders back to Blackwell for the spring session! Might Coders helps to build strong computer science fundamentals and sharpen your student's logical thinking through fun, game-based learning.

 

Class Information: 

    • Programs:
      • Scratch (Grades K–2) – Students learn the foundation of coding through visual, block-based programming in Scratch. 
      • Python (Grades 3–5) – Students learn text-based programming using Python, covering Python basics, installation and pip, libraries, variables, operators, data structures, conditionals, and loops while strengthening logic and problem-solving skills.
    • Location: Portable 2
    • When: Thursdays, 4:00pm - 5:00pm
    • Duration: Thursday September 17th – December 10th. No Class: 11/26
    • Price: $219 + taxes (YMCA families are eligible for a $20 discount.)
    • Laptops are provided during class, no instruments are required.

All PTSA programs are PTSA-hosted private events.

 

ATTENTION PARENTS!

Parents will need to volunteer for at least one class, unless we have a full-time volunteer.

All PTSA Enrichment programs MUST have two parent chaperones at each class. Otherwise, we are required to cancel the session. If you are willing to chaperone all sessions, you will receive discounted tuition for your student(s).
