CheSS
Chess class is a place for students to practice problem solving, critical thinking, and sportsmanship while having fun learning and playing a timeless game. Kids start the class with casual chess games, then progress to a lesson tailored to the class’ collective skill level. Next, they play a formal (unrated) ‘tournament game’ that allows them to practice skills under the same rules and expectations as a real tournament. Our overall goal is to help kids think through decisions logically, learn from their mistakes, and of course, have fun doing it! All experience levels are welcome.

- Age: K-5th (Please see flyer below for note about kinder enrollment.)
- When: Mondays 8 - 9:10am

All PTSA programs are PTSA-hosted private events.
ATTENTION PARENTS!
Parents will need to volunteer for at least one class, unless we have a full-time volunteer.
All PTSA Enrichment programs MUST have two parent chaperones at each class. Otherwise, we are required to cancel the session. If you are willing to chaperone all sessions, you will receive discounted tuition for your student(s).
