Blackwell PTSA's Winter Wishes program returns.

This program was created in 2022 after Blackwell PTSA learned that up to 28% of families that attend a local LWSD elementary school (Redmond Elementary) live at or below the poverty line.
This year, we have the privilege of supporting some of these families along with several Blackwell families.

Each family has been asked to identify a want, need and a read for each of their children.

During this season of giving, please consider the following: children come in all shapes and sizes, children clothes may be 'up-sized' in order to allow a piece of clothing to 'grow with the child', children should be encouraged to ask for what they want- not what we might think they want.

This program is completely optional and we expect that every child on our list will have their want, need, read fulfilled by generous community.
If you would like to donate something specific or part of a wish, please reach out to president@blackwellptsa.org and we will make sure that your generosity finds its way to these children.

Our gifting program ends on 12/11 in order to allow all items to be distributed.

A Redmond Elementary family wrote us regarding our 2023 program "Our family is grateful for the support of Winter Wishes. Without its presence, we would be unable to have presents under the tree. Our daughter has been able to receive items she wants but also needs. Especially in these difficult times, we are more than appreciative of the generosity of our community."

If you are looking for more ways to give, please don't hesitate to reach out to president@blackwellptsa.org, visit other local PTSAs or LWPTSA.net, many of whom are supporting our LWSD community with similar events or giving drives.  We are honored to be a part of such a generous community.
