75-minute multiple-choice test 

Questions include engaging word problems and are carefully selected each year by the International Math Kangaroo Committee to challenge students’ problem-solving skills. 

Open to any student who can read and work independently. 

Registered students receive free access to video explanations and solutions from past competitions to help them prepare.

Every participant receives: A Math Kangaroo ribbon,  A small gift, and an electronic certificate of participation 

Top performers may receive: Medals, In-kind prizes, College grants, and Invitations to local and international math camps.

 

24 questions for grades 1–4 

30 questions for grades 5–12 

 

Regular registration: Open now until Dec 31, 2025 

The registration fee is $18 per student ( Sep 15 – Dec 31).
The late registration fee is $35 per student ( Jan 1- Feb 1).
