Blackwell Math Club

 

 

 

The Blackwell Math Club is for 4th and 5th graders who want to participate in various competitions throughout the year. Students practice regularly with competition problems that will challenge their math abilities.

 

 

MATH CLub INFO: 

 

Day and Time: Thursdays 7:00 – 8:00 PM

 

Dates: From October 2025 – April 2026. 

Note: Sessions may be canceled if there is a conflict with school/PTSA events.

 

Who: 4th and 5th graders

 

 

Fees: $120 (non-refundable) – which covers the competition fees, study materials, subscriptions and general operating expenses. Additional competition fees may be collected later if needed.

 

 

 

 

 

All sessions will be hosted online through Zoom. A Zoom invitation will be sent to the email address listed on your PTSA account. Please verify your information is up to date before registering.

 

This math program is mentored by Heather Zheng.

High school students who are passionate about math, lead the class.


 

What to expect:

  • Students are expected to be respectful, cooperative, and follow all school rules.

  • Parents are responsible for transportation and meals during in-person competitions.

  • This club is parent volunteer based, if interested, please contact us.

Mathematical Olympiads for Elementary & Middle Schools - MOEMS:
November 2025 – March 2026 (individual)

 

American Mathematics Competition - AMC 8:
January 22-28, 2026 (individual)

 

Math is Cool:
March 2026 (team)
