Join us as we celebrate the rich diversity of our Blackwell community and come together as one!
We invite all families to host a “cultural table” representing a country, region, state, or community that is meaningful to you. Partnering with other families is encouraged—make it fun, collaborative, and uniquely yours!
🗓 Event Schedule
- 5:00 PM – Family setup begins
- 6:00 PM – Event officially starts
- 6:30–7:00 PM – Flag Parade & Fashion Show
Students represent their country, region, or state by carrying a flag. Printed paper flags are welcome if you don’t have one. Traditional attire is encouraged, but not required. - 7:00–7:15 PM – Performance A
- 7:30–7:45 PM – Performance B
- 7:50 PM – Event ends & cleanup begins
🌎 Examples of Cultural & Community Representations
Families are welcome to represent a wide variety of cultures and communities, including:
- Countries (e.g., Japan, Brazil, France)
- Regions (e.g., Sichuan, Northern India, Pacific Northwest)
- Cultural traditions (e.g., Hawaiian culture, Native American cultures)
- Communities or groups (e.g., Boy Scouts of America, local community traditions)
You are also welcome to share family traditions, heritage, or unique cultural experiences that are meaningful to you.

Q: We are not an international family. Is this event for us?
A: Absolutely! This is more than an international night—everyone has a culture and heritage to share. We welcome all families to represent a country, region, state, or city that is meaningful to them.
Q: What does it mean to host a table? We don’t have much time to prepare.
A: Hosting a table is simple and fun! Bring a few cultural items, share stories, and chat with visitors. Your setup can be as simple or creative as you like. You can also team up with other families from the same place.
Q: What can we bring to display?
A: You may include (but are not limited to):
Maps, flags, clothing, photos, jewelry, toys, dolls, games, books, posters, textiles, and non-fragile cultural items.
Q: Can we bring food?
A: Yes—food is highly encouraged! Please clearly label all ingredients and allergens, and follow food safety guidelines.
Q: Can we perform?
A: Yes, we welcome performances!
- Limit: One performance per table
- Solo: Up to 3 minutes
- Group: Up to 5 minutes

Q: Can middle or high school siblings attend?
A: This event is for current Blackwell elementary students only. Middle and high school students may attend only if volunteering, and must be district-approved volunteers.
