Public Speaking and Debate 

Blackwell PTSA proudly offers 2 different classes by Everlove Academy:

• Grade K-2: Impromptu Speaking

A fun and creative class where young learners practice quick thinking, clear expressions and confident communication through playful prompts and activities. 

• Grade 3-5: Congressional Debate

A dynamic debate program where students learn to propose ideas, build arguments, collaborate in teams, and speak with confidence - just like real member of Congress. 

Each student will get a quaterly assessment, present in an in-school final demo for families, and have opportunies to join Everlove Academy's public speaking and debate tournaments.

Day and Time:
Tuesday, 4-5pm - Grade K-2

Wednesday, 2:30- 3:30pm - Grade 3-5

Dates: January 13 - March 25 (no class on January 27)

Costs: $308 (11 sessions) - Free seat for parent chaperones. 

NEW: Youth Speech Tournament - MARCH 2026

This beginner-friendly speech & debate tournament helps students build confidence, organize ideas, and present clearly — while having fun and feeling proud of their voice. Perfect for beginners and returning students who want guided practice and real speaking experience.

9:30am - 12:30pm 

Who:

Grade K-8 (all experience welcome). 

Students will be grouped by grade level (K–2, 3–5, 6–8) for an age-appropriate and supportive experience.

Fees: 

$45 per student. Includes instruction, tournament participation, coaching, and medal awards. Spots are filled quickly. Early registration recommended.
