3.
Bobcat Book Club
Support the Blackwell library and honor your student with a donation to the Blackwell Library!
There are 2 ways to participate:
- Make a monetary donation to the Bobcat Book Club and have your student choose from our selection of new books in the library.
OR
- Purchase a book from our Amazon Wish List and send the book to school with your child.
When the book arrives, a special sticker will be placed inside the front cover stating it was donated by your child. Your child will then be able to share the book with the class and be the first to check it out and take it home as a bonus check out.
If you would like to have the book presented to your child close to or on the date of a special occasion, you can place the order in advance. There is a processing period, so please plan in advance. The suggested donation for a library book is $20.00.
For questions or comments, please contact Gretchen Cherian in the library or on ParentSquare. The paperwork should be returned by your student to the library with book or donation. If it is a surprise, be sure to send it in a sealed envelope and let Mrs. Cherian know.

The PTSA began the 2025-26 school year with a dedicated grant.
A dedicated grant is budgeted money that the PTSA earmarks specifically for the library and library resources.
This grant is approved by the PTSA General Membership at the beginning of the school year.
This year, this money was approved both at the June 2025 GMM and at the September 2025 GMM.
Our school librarian, Gretchen Cherian, decides how to spend this gran in accordance with LWSD standards. We applaud Ms. Cherian and her dedication to enriching our Blackwell Library for ALL Blackwell students.
